Welcome to Peru!
Upon arrival at Lima International Airport, a representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, located in the residential district of Miraflores. Arrival and check-in at the hotel (3:00 PM).

Day 02 / Lima – Cusco – EEAA Andenes – Ollantaytambo – Sacred Valley
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport to board your flight to the imperial city of Cusco (flight not included). Arrival at the airport, welcome, and transfer to the Andenes Agricultural Experimental Station (EEAA), part of the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA), a public institution affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation. Located in the province of Anta (Sacred Valley), experiments are being conducted, primarily with cereals and potatoes. An engineer will explain some of the studies being conducted on quinoa.
Box lunch included.
We will then head to the village of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the fortress of the same name. Here we will tour the most important areas of the site, and our guide will explain its history. Finally, transfer to the hotel located in the Sacred Valley.

Day 03 / Sacred Valley – Maras & Moray – Sacred Valley
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to visit the archaeological complex of Moray, where you can see four slightly elliptical agricultural terraces, which the locals call ‘muyus’. The largest structure is 45 metres deep and the average height of each terrace is 2 metres. Many believe that this place was an important centre of agricultural experimentation for the Incas.
Finally, we will visit the village of Maras and its well-known salt pans.
On this day, we will enjoy a delicious ‘Pachamanca’ lunch.
Transfer to the hotel located in the Sacred Valley.

Day 04 / Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel.
Very early, we will transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. The trip takes an hour and a half. Along the way, we will appreciate a diversity of natural landscapes depending on the altitude. We will arrive at the station in the town of Aguas Calientes and, from here, board buses to ascend to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We will begin the visit by observing the magnificent surrounding landscape. The excursion will last two hours approximately visiting the points included in your circuit. We will then return to Aguas Calientes by bus and have time for lunch and shopping. (Lunch is not included)
At the scheduled time, we will transfer to the Aguas Calientes train station to board the Vistadome train to the Ollanta station. Arrival and transfer to Cusco.

Day 05 / Cusco – Puno
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, private transfer to Puno. On the way we will visit the San Pedro de Andahuaylillas Church (3,093 masl) built in 1,580 and known as “The Sistine Chapel of Peru”, the Archaeological Center of Raqchi (3,450 masl) known as the Temple of God Wiracocha. Buffet lunch in Sicuani. Our trip continues to La Raya (4,335 meters above sea level), the highest point of the trip, where you can see beautiful landscapes, vicuñas and llamas.
Finally, we visit Pucara (3,900 masl), where the origins of the Andean Culture of the Altiplano are discovered. Arrival in Puno and transfer to the hotel.

Day 06 / Puno – Agricultural Experiment Station (EEAA) Illpa – Puno
Breakfast at the hotel.
Illpa Agricultural Experiment Station (EEAA), where an engineer will welcome us to visit the Quinoa Germplasm Bank, where new and improved varieties will be created and research will be conducted on the management of genetic resources. Afterwards, we will visit the Chullpas of Sillustani, one of the largest archaeological sites in the Americas. These impressive funerary monuments, over 12 meters high, are cylindrical stone burial chambers used by the Aymara to bury their important leaders. Return to Puno for lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 07 / Puno – COOPAIN Cabaña – Puno
Breakfast at the hotel.
Early departure to the Cabaña COOPAIN Agroindustrial Cooperative, located at 1:15 a.m., north of Puno. Since 2012, this cooperative has been exporting organic quinoa directly to various countries around the world, primarily to the United States, Germany, France, and the Netherlands, among others. Here, we will visit the quinoa fields and processing plant, where we will explain the planting and harvesting process. Return to Puno and have lunch en route.

Day 08 / Puno – Lake Titicaca – Puno
Breakfast at the hotel.
Full-day excursion to the highest navigable lake in the world. First, you’ll visit the Uros Floating Islands, inhabited by ancient Aymara people. This people has preserved their traditions and customs generation after generation. Then, the trip continues to Taquile Island, where you’ll have the opportunity to appreciate its handicrafts and textiles. Lunch in Taquile. Return to Puno.

Farewell to Puno. Depending on your flight departure time to Lima, we’ll transfer you to the airport. (B)
