Day 01 / … / Lima

¡Welcome to Peru!
Arrival at the Lima airport, assistance from one of our representatives at the airport. Then transfer to the hotel, located in the residential district of Miraflores. Arrival at the hotel, assistance for check-in (3:00 pm). Dinner in the hotel.

Day 02 / Lima – Paracas – Nasca

At 04:30 a.m. private transport from Lima to Paracas. Box breakfast to take away. Transfer to the port (08:30), from where we will take a boat to the Ballestas Islands (weather conditions permitting). These are the habitat of a great variety of marine fauna such as the Humboldt penguin, pelican, flamingos, dolphins and sea lions, which can be easily observed from a motorboat. And if you are lucky, you may encounter the famous Peruvian penguins. Drive to Nazca. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 03 / Nasca – Cusco

After breakfast, free time at leisure.
Optional Tour: Transfer to the airfield to fly over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. This huge set of geoglyphs has a network of lines and drawings of figures of animals and plants attributed to the Nazca culture that cover an area of approximately 350 km². Among the main figures we can appreciate the Hummingbird, the Dog, the Monkey, the Astronaut, etc. The German Maria Reiche dedicated 50 years of her life to the study and research of the place, arriving at the conclusion that it was an astronomical calendar.
Dinner in the hotel. In the evening around 19:30 Hrs. transfer by comfortable coach to Cusco. Arrival at your destination around 09:30 Hrs.

Day 04 / Cusco

Time to rest after a long journey.
In the afternoon, transfer for a city tour of Cusco, where you’ll visit the Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), Plaza de Armas, and San Blas. Return to the hotel to have dinner.

Day 05 / Cusco – Sacred Valley – Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning departure for our visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the Ruins of Pisac and then visit a picturesque craft market. Buffet lunch in local restaurant. Later we will go to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the fortress that bears the same name. Here we will visit the most important sectors of the place, and our guide will give us an explanation about its history. To end the tour on the way back to Cusco, we will visit the town of Chincheros, where you will admire its well-preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple. Transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

Day 06 / Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.
This day will be the highlight of our trip, the visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Very early we will depart from Ollanta train station towards the majestic city of Aguas Calientes, the travel time is approximately 01 hour 30 minutes. Arrival to Aguas Calientes town, from here we will board the buses to ascend to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. The tour will be 02 hours and 30 minutes. At the end of it we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to go shopping and lunch at local restaurant (not included). At a scheduled time, transfer to the station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 07 / Cusco – Puno

Breakfast at the hotel.
Journey through the highlands. At 7:00 a.m., transfer by private vehicle to the city of Puno. On the way, we will visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas (3,093 masl), built in 1580 and known as “The Sistine Chapel of Peru”, and the Temple of San Juan Bautista de Huaro. Buffet lunch in Sicuani (3,540 masl). Our journey continues to La Raya (4,335 masl), the highest point of the trip, where you can see beautiful landscapes, vicuñas and llamas. We continue to Pucara (3,900 masl), where we discover the origins of the Andean culture of the Altiplano. Arrival in Puno and transfer to the hotel.

Day 08 / Puno – Titicaca Lake – Puno

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the Floating Island of Los Uros (3,810 masl), set of 20 islands formed on the basis of totora (aquatic plant). Then, we will visit Taquile Island (3,950 masl), walking along a path of aligned stones and zigzags that will lead us to the village (approximately 1 hour walk). We will have a short time to visit the craft shops and make some purchases, then we will go to the restaurant of the island for lunch prepared based on the products of the region. Return to Puno.

Day 09 / Puno – Lima

Breakfast at the hotel.
We leave the hotel towards Sillustani. One hour later, arrival to Sillustani, to begin with a walk at slow pace of about 15 to 20 minutes, to climb up to where the Chullpas of Sillustani, or most important pre-Inca cemetery of Peru from 600 to 800 years AD, started by the Kollas and continued in the empire of the Incas, is located on a peninsula on the Umayo Lagoon. It enjoys a very singular atmosphere of tranquility and peace. An hour later, we return to board our transport and we go to one of the typical houses of a family of alpaqueros, they show you the interior of their rooms, show you how they raise their animals, produce their famous carpets, handicrafts and natural medicine. Then we leave for Puno, one hour later we arrive at the airport of Juliaca, calculating to arrive 02 hours before the departure time of the flight. Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10 / Lima: City tour / …

In the morning city tour, discovering Miraflores and San Isidro, Lima’s modern neighborhoods and historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Several well-preserved buildings from different eras, the mix of past and present, is a characteristic feature of this capital. Visit to the San Francisco Cathedral and Monastery, the largest ecclesiastical complex dating from the colonial era. Its front façade is considered the most beautiful church façade in Lima. Located in the Plaza de Armas, the ensemble is considered the most outstanding work of Peruvian Baroque. It is also Lima’s most visited church. While in the church, it is also worth taking a look at the catacombs where the remains of the Spanish conquistador Pizarro are buried. Transfer to the airport 3h before departure. (B)
