Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, a representative of Peru 4×4 Adventures / Quality Travel International will be awaiting you. Transfer to the hotel.
Arrival and check-in (15:00 hrs).
Short briefing about the expedition and use of the 4×4 units, as well as safety regulations.

Day 02 / Lima – Caral – Barranca (192 km)
Breakfast at the hotel.
07:00 hrs departure in 4×4 heading north on the Pan-American Highway to visit the Sacred City of Caral, the oldest city in the Americas. Continue to visit the Fortress of Paramonga, an archaeological site belonging to the Chimú culture later occupied by the Incas.
Return to Barranca, a small trade town.

Day 03 / Barranca – Chavín de Huántar – Huaraz (216 km)
Breakfast.
Departure to visit the Archaeological City of Chavín de Huántar, belonging to the pre-Inca Chavín culture. The temple’s western façade is adorned with carved stone heads, while inside stands the famous Lanzón Monolith (4.53 m high).
The site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Visit the local museum before transferring to Huaraz.

Day 04 / Huaraz – Llanganuco – Yungay – Huaraz
Breakfast.
Departure to visit the turquoise Llanganuco Lagoons in the Huascarán National Park, among Peru’s most beautiful natural wonders. Continue to the ancient city of Yungay, buried by a mudslide in 1970 — now a World Heritage Site.
Return to the hotel and overnight. (B)

Day 05 / Huaraz – Casma – Sechín – Trujillo (312 km)
Breakfast.
Departure to visit the archaeological complex of Sechín, one of Peru’s most important ancient monuments, dating to 1800–200 BC. Visit the Max Uhle Museum and the sunny coastal town of Casma before continuing to Trujillo, the “City of Eternal Spring.”
Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Day 06 / Trujillo
Breakfast.
Early departure to visit Huaca Arco Iris (or Huaca del Dragón), part of the Chan Chan archaeological circuit. Continue to the largest adobe city in the Americas: Chan Chan, visiting the Nik-An Palace and its site museum.
End the tour with a visit to the Temples of the Sun and the Moon, built by the Moche civilization around 500 BC — the largest adobe pyramids in the continent.

Day 07 / Trujillo – Chiclayo (204 km)
Breakfast.
Early transfer to Chiclayo. En route, visit the Archaeological Museum of the Lady of Cao at El Brujo, one of northern Peru’s most important ancient sites, where the tomb of a female Moche ruler was discovered.
Continue to the colonial city of Zaña and then visit Huaca Rajada, burial site of the Lords of Sipán. Arrival and overnight in Chiclayo. (B)

Day 08 / Chiclayo
Breakfast.
Full-day visit to the Historic Sanctuary “Bosque de Pomac,” home to 36 Moche pyramids and a preserved dry forest ecosystem. Continue to Lambayeque to visit the Sicán Museum, the pyramids and site of Túcume, and the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum.
Return to Chiclayo. Overnight. (B)

Day 09 / Chiclayo – Chachapoyas (435 km)
Breakfast.
Departure from Chiclayo towards Chachapoyas along the Fernando Belaúnde Terry Highway, passing through Motupe, Olmos, Pedro Ruiz, and Cocachimba. Experience diverse microclimates and stunning contrasts along the journey.
Arrival and overnight in Chachapoyas. (B)
Day 10 / Chachapoyas – Kuelap – Chachapoyas
Breakfast.
Excursion to the Fortress of Kuelap. Take a cable car ride with spectacular views of the surrounding Andean mountains. Visit the pre-Inca fortress — an extraordinary citadel built centuries before Machu Picchu. Lunch included in the surrounding area.
Return by cable car to Chachapoyas.

Day 11 / Chachapoyas – Gocta Waterfall – Chachapoyas
Breakfast.
Depart by 4×4 to the town of Cocachimba. Register at the ticket office and begin a 2.5-hour hike to reach the Gocta Waterfall. Admire its impressive 771-meter drop and the surrounding forest.
Lunch in a local restaurant. Return to Chachapoyas. Overnight. (B, L)

Day 12 / Chachapoyas – Jaén – Lima
Breakfast.
Depart from Chachapoyas to Jaén (approx. 3-hour drive). Arrival and flight to Lima (not included). Transfer to the hotel and overnight in Miraflores. (B)

Transfer to the airport for your international flight. (B)
